- What size panel do I need?
- Wattage is a roof-space question before it is a budget one. Bigger modules mean fewer panels and less mounting hardware for the same output, but they need the area and the hands — a 710 W module is a two-person lift. The small trickle panels are for gate motors and caravans, not houses.
- Can I mix panel sizes?
- Not on the same string — mismatched panels drag each other down to the weakest one. Different sizes need separate strings or separate MPPT inputs, which is a question for whoever designs the array.
- What should I tell you?
- The roof profile, the usable area, and what the array has to feed. We quote the panels; the design stays with you or your installer.
