Ordering
- How much does it cost?
- Prices are not published on this site. Stock and supplier pricing move often enough that a figure on a web page is out of date before it is useful, so everything is quoted in writing — the price, the lead time, and a date you can plan around. Ask for a quote and we come back to you, usually the same working day.
- Do you sell to the public, or trade only?
- Both. Installers and electricians order from us on trade terms, and members of the public are welcome at the counter. You do not need an account or a company to buy.
- How soon can I get it?
- It depends on the line. A great deal is on the shelf in Bloemfontein and can be collected the same day; anything we bring in is quoted with a lead time before you commit, so you are never waiting on a date nobody gave you.
Collection and delivery
- Can I collect, or do you deliver?
- Either. Collection is from 91 General Hertzog Street, Dan Pienaar, Bloemfontein, Monday to Thursday between 08:00 and 17:00, and Friday between 08:00 and 16:00. Delivery is arranged on request and quoted with the goods, so the cost is on the same piece of paper as the price.
- Will it fit in my car?
- Ask before you drive through. Panels are long rather than heavy — a 600 W module is around two metres — and some batteries are genuinely heavy: the 16 kWh wall units are over 100 kg and are a two-person lift. Every product page states the weight where the manufacturer publishes it.
The equipment
Installation
- Do you install it?
- No. We supply the equipment — we do not install, and we do not arrange installation. If you already have an electrician or installer, we are happy to quote them directly on trade terms.
- Will it run my whole house?
- That depends on your loads and how long you need them running, and it is a sizing question rather than a product one. Tell us what has to stay on and we will quote a combination that carries it — but the design itself sits with your installer, not with us.
Equipment
- What is the difference between off-grid, hybrid and grid-tie?
- A grid-tie inverter feeds solar into the property while the grid is up and stops when it goes down. An off-grid inverter runs from panels and batteries with no grid at all. A hybrid does both — it uses solar, charges a battery, and carries your load through an outage — which is why almost everything on this list is a hybrid.
- What warranty does it carry?
- It varies by make and is stated on each product page and confirmed on your quote — panels typically carry a 25-year linear performance warranty, inverters and batteries between two and ten years depending on the manufacturer. Warranty claims follow the manufacturer's own policy and procedure.
- Are the specifications on this site exact?
- Treat them as indicative. They are compiled from manufacturer publications and are correct as far as we can establish, but the figures that bind are the ones on your written quote. If a number matters to your design, ask us to confirm it before you order — see our terms of use.
