A single-phase hybrid inverter rated at 8 kW — solar, battery and grid managed by one box, sized for a typical South African home that wants to ride through load-shedding rather than run entirely off-grid.
Being a hybrid, it needs no separate charge controller: the PV array, a 48 V lithium bank and the grid all connect to this one unit, and it decides moment to moment what charges, what discharges and what carries the house. Two MPPT trackers let you run two roof faces at different angles or shading without one dragging the other down.
It AC-couples, so an existing grid-tie system can be retrofitted with storage instead of replaced. Up to 16 units run in parallel on-grid or off-grid, six charge and discharge time windows can be programmed against a tariff, and it will take charge from a diesel generator where there is one.
Deye publish this family with a colour touch LCD and an IP65 rating, and at 8 kW the sheet lists up to 190 A charge/discharge and 12 800 W of PV input. Deye ship more than one 8 kW single-phase line, so the exact variant is confirmed on your quote.
