The 50 kW is the top of Deye's high-voltage three-phase hybrid family — industrial scale, and the largest single inverter on this price list.
It takes up to 80 000 W of PV at a maximum input voltage of 1000 V, and runs a high-voltage battery bank at 160–800 V. Working at that voltage rather than 48 V keeps the current — and therefore the cable, the losses and the heat — proportionally lower than a low-voltage system of the same size, which is what makes an installation this large practical.
Output is three-phase with 100% unbalanced capability, so the phases need not be evenly loaded. Up to 10 units run in parallel, giving 500 kW from one family if the site needs it, with multiple batteries paralleled behind them.
Maximum charge/discharge current is 100 A. It AC-couples to retrofit existing solar, takes six programmable charge and discharge windows, and stores energy from a diesel generator.
